More About the Presenter (s):
Dr. Erich Schoeller is an Assistant Professor of Controlled Environment Agriculture Integrated Pest Management in the Department of Entomology at the University of Georgia. His research provides stakeholders with environmentally sound and reliable pest management strategies to maximize the returns of their horticultural enterprises and increase food safety. He aims to better understand how various factors contribute to the success or failure of pest management programs in CEA using broad approaches ranging from determining the behavioral components of predator-prey interactions to understanding production-level impacts on pest and natural enemy populations.
Dr. Ping Yu is an Assistant Professor/Ornamental Specialist in the Department of Horticulture at the University of Georgia. Her research mainly focuses on develop and evaluate horticulture practices such as water/irrigation management, IPM to improve ornamental crop production in greenhouse, nursery and field. She also teach “Nursery Management” for senior undergraduate students and graduate students by incorporating both practical aspect and science aspect of nursery management to better prepare students with essential skills for the industry.
