Shady Creek Greenhouses

About Our Company

Shady Creek Greenhouses had its beginning in 1997 with the original owner providing plants for his hardware store. In June of 1999, Galen Becker bought the business that was then only four greenhouses and a small storage building. Galen owned Shady Creek for 15 years and grew it into 22 greenhouses with around 2 acres of outdoor production. Galen also built a office and potting shed where most of the planting happens. In 2014, lifelong friend of Galen, Jay Schmidt took over the business. We currently have over 60,000 square feet under roof with 168,000 square feet of additional outdoor production.
